Cameroon v Morocco: Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final – live

Cameroon and Morocco clashed in a highly anticipated quarter-final at the Africa Cup of Nations, with both teams eager to advance to the semi-finals. The match began with Cameroon goalkeeper Devis Epassy facing a barrage of attacks from Morocco's high-powered offense.

Morocco took an early lead through Brahim Diaz's 25-yard shot, but Cameroon's Bryan Mbeumo was set to equalize when he found himself one-on-one. However, it wasn't his day as the ball landed at the feet of Kofane, who received a pass from teammate Mbeumo.

The hosts then looked to build up momentum with sustained attacks, but Saibari's long sideways pass was intercepted, and Epassy cleared the danger. Morocco attempted another corner kick, which Cameroon defended effectively.

As the match progressed, Cameroon struggled to create scoring opportunities against a well-organized Moroccan defense. Morocco took advantage of the situation, winning several free kicks that were expertly executed by Ezzalzouli.

Morocco's persistence finally paid off when El Kaabi scored with a downward header from Brahim Diaz's cross, giving his team an early 1-0 lead. Cameroon was left reeling after Tchamadeu was forced to leave the field due to injury concerns.

Cameroon equalized in the 26th minute through Bryan Mbeumo's free kick, but Morocco regained the upper hand as El Kaabi celebrated with Brahim Diaz on the goal-scoring play.

Despite Morocco dominating possession and creating several scoring opportunities, Cameroon held their ground and eventually managed to level the score. The match is now set to continue, with both teams battling for a spot in the semi-finals.

Man this match was insane 🤯! I was on the edge of my seat when Morocco took that early lead, but then Bryan Mbeumo stepped up and got that goal back for Cameroon 😲! The way they were pushing forward, trying to get that second goal... it was a real nail-biter. And can we talk about El Kaabi? That guy is a beast on the field 💪🏽! Still can't believe the match ended 1-1 after all that back-and-forth. Bring on the next half, I'm hyped 🤩

Ugh, these football injuries are getting out of control 🤕. First Tchamadeu gets hurt and then Mbeumo... what's next? Cameroon needs to get their act together if they wanna take down Morocco 💪. And that Moroccan defense is solid as a rock 🏰. I don't think anyone can take them down. Also, have you seen the way those corner kicks are being taken? Expertly executed every time ⚽️. It's like watching a well-oiled machine. Anyway, I'm rooting for Cameroon to pull off an upset, but it's gonna be tough 🤞.

man this game was insane 🤯🏆 morocco took that early lead but cameroon came back so strong 💪 Bryan Mbeumo's free kick was wicked 😲 and they finally equalized... now it's all about who's gonna come out on top 👊

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this match 🤯 Cameroon and Morocco brought the heat! I mean, you've got one team's high-powered offense going up against another's solid defense... it was bound to be an intense game 😅. And what a goal by Brahim Diaz - that shot from 25 yards out was insane 💥. But at the same time, I'm so impressed with how Bryan Mbeumo held his own for Cameroon. That equalizer he scored was huge 🎉.

I think both teams played some great football, but Morocco's persistence really paid off in the end ⏰. And of course, El Kaabi's goal was a beauty - that downward header was so clinical 😊. It's crazy how this match is still going on after 90 minutes... I'm hyped to see what happens next 🎉

OMG 🤯 just watched the craziest quarter final match between Cameroon and Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations!!! 😲 the Moroccan team was like a machine, they kept attacking and creating scoring chances nonstop! 💥 but Cameroon's Bryan Mbeumo is like a hero, he scored that equalizer in the 26th minute 🎉 and gave his team hope for the rest of the game. 👊 the match is still on and it's anyone's game now 🤔 https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/57742491

omg I'm still trying to process what just happened on the pitch 🤯! those two teams went head-to-head and it was like they were giving it their all 💪! i feel bad for cameroon tho, they got injured and struggled to keep up with morocco's offense 🤕. but they never gave up! 27th minute equalizer though, nice job bryan mebumo 😎! el kaabi's header was intense though 🔥... cant wait to see how the rest of the match unfolds 🏆👀

I'm like totally stoked that Cameroon came back from behind to tie it up lol 😂. But at the same time, I'm kinda thinking that Morocco was way more ruthless and deserved that 1-0 lead... idk, maybe? 🤔. And what's up with Cameroon's defense being all over the place? One minute they're getting killed, the next they're like a solid wall 💪. It's crazy how one team can turn around in an instant ⏱️. I mean, I love watching these kinds of intense matches, but seriously though... who knows what's gonna happen next?! 🤯

man this game was intense 🤯 i mean can you imagine being on that pitch with those guys giving it their all? they're not just playing for themselves but for their countries, for the pride of their people... it's like they're fighting for something bigger than just a win 🏆. and to be honest, i feel bad for the guy who got injured in the first half, tchamadeu or whatever his name was, he's risking everything out there and then suddenly he's done for 💔.

anyway, i think what really stood out to me was how both teams were just so evenly matched. morocco had that fancy offense but cameroon held strong defensively 🤝. it's like they were two different animals fighting on the same terrain, each trying to assert their dominance. and then suddenly you get this one goal and everything changes 💥. it's like life itself, we're all just trying to find our footing and make a mark on the world, sometimes we stumble but we always keep moving forward 🌟.

man 🤔... this cameroon vs morocco match was all about momentum, you know? like, morocco came out strong but then cameroon equalized and flipped the script on them. it's like life, right? one minute we're up, next minute we're down, gotta keep pushing to get back on top 😅

i think what i love most about this game is how both teams were willing to fight for every inch of space. it's not just about scoring goals, it's about outlasting your opponent and refusing to give up 💪... reminds me of when my friends and i used to play soccer in college. we'd go for hours without anyone scoring, but that's what made the game so epic 🏈

anyway, now that the score is tied, it's gonna be a whole different ball game. both teams are gonna come at each other with everything they've got. can't wait to see how this one unfolds 💥

Omg, what a match!!! 🤯😱 I'm still shook after that goal from El Kaabi! 💥 How can Morocco come back like that?! 😩 Cameroon was definitely on the back foot at one point but their defense held strong and they managed to level the score. Bryan Mbeumo's free kick was insane tho! 😲 I'm so hyped for this match now, it's going to be an epic battle 🏆💪

idk about this africa cup thing 🤷‍♂️ it's all just another excuse for these teams to show off their fancy footwork lol. but seriously though, morocco looked pretty solid out there 🌟 their offense is on point. cameroon was getting destroyed for like 20 minutes and then all of a sudden they're back in the game? that's some wild stuff 🤯 anyway, i'm just here for the goals, not the drama 😂

yaaas another thrilling quarter-final match at the Africa Cup of Nations, because who doesn't love watching grown men kick a ball around 😂. seriously tho, Cameroon and Morocco brought the heat, but I guess you could say Morocco just kinda 'broke' Cameroon's spirit 💔. their defense was on point, and they capitalized on those free kicks like pros 🤑. can't say i'm surprised though, Morocco's been looking fierce this tournament ⚽️. on the other hand, Cameroon's Bryan Mbeumo is like the underdog story of the match 🤣, always running around and trying to score despite being faced with a wall of Moroccan defenders 😅. hopefully they can bounce back from that injury and give Morocco some real competition 👊

😒 I was so hyped for this match but it seemed like Cameroon just couldn't catch a break. Their defense was all over the place, and they kept giving Morocco free kicks which are basically like golden opportunities for them to score. 🤦‍♂️ Like, I get it, Cameroon is young and inexperienced, but you'd think they'd have some sort of strategy to deal with that! 💡 Anyway, I'm glad they managed to equalize before halftime, now we'll just see how this one plays out. Fingers crossed for them in the next round 😅.

🤯 I mean, what's going on with these Moroccan defenders?! They're literally camping out at Epassy's feet all game! 😂 Cameroon was getting some decent attacks going but those guys just wouldn't give up the goal 🙄 But seriously though, it's impressive how both teams are pushing so hard for that spot in the semi-finals. Cameroon's Bryan Mbeumo is having a solid game too, but I guess Kofane got the goal and now they've gotta bounce back 💪 It's gonna be a real nail-biter of a match from here on out! 🤔

I think its so frustrating when teams are on the attack but can't seem to capitalize on those chances. Like, I'm watching this match and Morocco's offense is so strong, they're like a well-oiled machine 🤖, but their defense is all over the place sometimes 🙄. Cameroon was in no man's land for most of that first half, just trying to survive against Morocco's barrage of attacks 😩. But they came out swinging in the second half and I love how Bryan Mbeumo stepped up and scored that equalizer! 🎉

Man, what a game! 🤯 I was on the edge of my seat when Morocco took that early lead, but then Cameroon just wouldn't give up 😅. That Bryan Mbeumo's free kick in the 26th minute was pure magic ✨, and I was like "yes, yes, yes!" 🎉. And now they're back level? So intense! 💥 I love how both teams were giving it their all out there. The Moroccan defense was solid, but Cameroon just wouldn't quit 😊. Can't wait to see what happens next in this match! 🤞

man, this africa cup of nations is getting intense! 🤯 i think morocco's defense was on point, they really shut down cameroon's offense and didn't give them much space to breathe. but at the same time, cameroon showed some great resilience and determination, especially after that injury to tchamadeu 🤕. it's going to be a tough battle for both teams now, whoever adjusts their strategy first is gonna come out on top 💪

OMG what's with the hair on Brahim Diaz? 🤣😂 I'm like totally confused why he didn't equalize when Bryan Mbeumo had that one-on-one chance 😕. And what's up with Kofane, how did he even score from a pass? 🙄 The ref has to be blind or something lol... anywayz i guess morocco played better and scored first but cameroon is still in it so yeah let's just keep watching this match 📺😅
