lorie's story is kinda cool but also super frustrating - like, what were they even planning to do here that was so bad? 
the fact that they scrapped the plan just because of some convo with lorie makes me wonder if trump was really trying to address those issues or just look good in the eyes of his friends 
and on a side note, what's up with the way trumps talks? "how's it going there?" like what are you even talking about, dude? 
so yeah I'm loving the idea of Trump being all chill like "how's it going there?" just casually asking about our city before diving into plans to deploy federal agents... that's like something out of a sitcom 
but for real though, what's even crazier is how Lurie framed his conversation with Trump as this big save-the-day moment 
I mean, we all know Lurie's just doing some damage control here, trying to make himself look like the hero who talked Trump down from a ledge 
at the same time though, it's kinda cool that our mayor was able to have a convo with the Prez and basically say "nah, you can't come in here" 
so yeah, I guess this is one way to show that even the most unlikely people can have civil conversations 
. And now we know that Trump almost deployed federal agents to try and "solve" it? Like, that's just gonna push more people into homelessness or make them less likely to come forward for help. And what's with the whole "how's it going there?" thing? Sounds like a total setup to get Trump to open up about his plan

i mean its all about keeping the peace & being a good neighbor, right? plus who needs that kinda drama in their city? anyway gotta give props to lurie for being vocal & taking a stand

I've got some tea about this whole thing... so it sounds like Mayor Lurie had a serious chat with Trump and basically told him nope, we're good 
. Like, dude, we get it, you're trying to save face, but come on... Lurie just said whatever it takes to get the federal agents out of our streets, and I'm good with that
