US Strike on Iranian Wedding Raises Questions Over Civilian Casua

Civilian Casualties and the Blurred Lines of War The latest incident of a US strike hitting a civilian target in Iran has raised more questions than answers about the conduct of modern warfare.

On September 1, a barrage of missiles and drones allegedly struck a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak, Hormozgan province, killing at least five people, including a four year old boy.

The proximity of the building where the wedding was being held to the alleged target, a communications tower, is striking. According to geolocation by FRANCE 24, the building was over 135 meters away from the tower.
