just read about sean newcomb joining the white sox . think its gonna be interesting watching him adapt to their system. been in sports long enough to see players try and fit into these "6 man" roles... not always easy, but he seems like a smart guy who'll figure it out. hope the sox can build some consistency on the mound this year
I gotta say, Sean Newcomb's signing is a low-key genius move for the White Sox . The guy's got a reputation for being ultra-reliable and wanting to eat up innings, which will be music to their ears after last season's disaster . I'm not gonna lie, it's a bit concerning that they're throwing away so many starters' slots, but hey, if Newcomb can come in and contribute consistently, it'll be worth the risk . His adaptability is key here – being able to attack lineups in different situations will make him super valuable as a sixth man . Can't wait to see how he fits into the rotation!
OMG u gotta love how these teams just throw around the term "value" like its nobodies business what they're really gettin from their signings. I mean Sean Newcombs got all that heart and experience, but does he even get a second glance at those contract details? Meanwhile his career longevity shouldnt be undervalued...66 starts in 7 yrs is still nothing to sneeze at!
