I don't get why they're making all these staff reapply for their jobs... like, what's wrong with just keeping them as is? 
It's already bad enough that morale is at 43% and people are feeling super demotivated. What's gonna fix this? 
The organisation's got some serious issues to work on, from health and safety concerns to a general lack of direction... 
this is so not good news at all!!! the morale at dstl has literally hit rock bottom at 43%! i mean, can you even imagine feeling demotivated and powerless at work? 
it's like they're letting their amazing team of scientists and engineers just coast to save a buck or two. 
it's just not worth it. we need people like paul hollinshead pushing for change from the top, but this reorganisation has gone way too far already. let's hope someone steps in soon before our national security is put at risk

Newsflash: morale is the right tool! You gotta keep your people motivated and engaged to tackle the tough stuff

... and behind every great team is a great leader who knows how to keep their people fired up 
! I think this is a total mess! 43% morale, that's like, seriously low what happened? Did they really just scrap all those jobs and expect everyone to be chill about it? It's not just the jobs though, it's the whole vibe of the place. Health and safety should always be on our minds but when it starts to feel like an excuse for the top brass to push their agenda, that's a problem. 
And what's up with the "drive for change" from the CEO? Sounds like he's more worried about his own licence to operate than the actual work of the people on the ground. 
It's not just about the staff either, this affects national security and we can't afford to have our top defence science lab struggling to cope. We need to get some real answers from the Ministry of Defence ASAP!

I was like "what's going on with DSTL?" last year when I saw all these posts about layoffs and morale issues, and now this whistleblower is coming forward with even more info. Like, 43% low morale? That's crazy 
. And it's not just the employees who are affected, the whole national security thing is at risk because of it . I mean, I get that restructuring and health and safety are important, but come on, can't you prioritize both? 
I'm no expert, but from what I've seen, DSTL was doing some cool stuff before this shake-up, like that Salisbury poisoning thing. Now it's like they're losing their edge 
. I just hope the Ministry of Defence takes these concerns seriously and does something about it soon
