Winter lights and seasonal events are back at Franklin Square

Philly's Franklin Square is Dishing Out Winter Cheer

Winter has officially descended upon Philadelphia, and the city's beloved Franklin Square is ready to shine. The picturesque park has transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, cozy fire pits, and an assortment of seasonal eats and treats.

The Electrical Spectacle Light Show, a staple of the square's winter festivities, has kicked off its refreshed edition. Every 30 minutes from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays, the park is bathed in hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, choreographed to festive winter tunes. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor fire pits and warm up with handcrafted hot beverages.

Chilly Philly Mini Golf has also gotten into the holiday spirit, decked out for winter until January 25th before switching to a LOVE-themed course featuring seasonal dΓ©cor and music alongside miniature versions of Philadelphia landmarks. Tickets range from $12 for kids to free for under-twenties.

For those seeking something more substantial, SquareBurger is open during both daytime and evening hours, serving comfort food with winter-inspired twists. And when the sun dips below the horizon, Frosty's Fireside Lodge pops up as a heated pop-up bar, offering handcrafted cocktails, warm cider drinks, and seasonal snacks.

In addition to its regular events, Franklin Square has a host of special one-night and weekend festivities lined up throughout the season. These include Boozy Ben's Birthday "Bengo," Martin Luther King Jr. Service Weekend, Ice Princess Night, Valentine's-themed mini golf, Presidents' Day Quizzo, and Lunar New Year celebration.

If you're looking to get into the winter spirit without breaking the bank, Franklin Square is the perfect place to be. Whether you're strolling through the square's festive lights, enjoying seasonal eats, or participating in one of its many fun events, there's something for everyone at this beloved Philadelphia landmark.

You know what really caught my attention? The fact that they're only charging $12 for mini golf on Fridays and Saturdays... like, what's the deal with that? Is it some kind of marketing ploy to get more people in? And have you noticed how cozy everything is set up for? It's like they're trying to distract us from something. I mean, all these twinkling lights and fire pits can't just be a coincidence, right? There must be a hidden agenda here... πŸ€”

I'm so down for a chill night out in Franklin Square πŸŒƒβ„οΈ. They've really gone all out with their winter festivities this year - from the lights to the food, it's all just so festive and fun! And I love that they're offering some free events, like their mini golf nights, which is super inclusive for everyone. But what I find kinda interesting is how they're incorporating some of Philly's notable landmarks into their LOVE-themed course... it's a great way to bring the community together and celebrate the city's spirit β€οΈπŸŽ‰
